Reservations:

  • Please email us to discuss possible reservations and ask any questions. It’s always handy to make contact in writing when organizing a visit.
  • To confirm a reservation, best to call our office. We’ll ask for your name, address, phone & credit card number. Credit card must be approved as a no-show guarantee. Never send your credit card number in an email.
  • For printed verification of your confirmed reservation, we’ll reply promptly when you send an email to: contact@acorninn.com
  • We accept credit card (Visa, MC, Discover, American Express), check (w. cc back-up) & cash
  • Rates posted DO NOT include state and local taxes.
  • Upon arrival, please check in at front entrance of Farmhouse/Acorn Inn office.
  • The Farmhouse is also the home of the Innkeepers, so a knock or call is always appreciated!

Length-of-stay requirements:

  • Busy weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Holidays) are subject to a 2-night minimum stay, unless specially arranged with the innkeepers. Please ask to be sure.
  • A one-night stay Monday - Thursday is charged at the Weekend/Holiday rate.

Cancellations

  • Unfortunately, cancellations happen. If you need to cancel a confirmed reservation, please call to speak directly with us, then send written notice by email, as much in advance as possible.
  • We will always acknowledge your cancellation by email. A phone message without an email is not sufficient because often messages aren’t audible.
  • For a full refund, cancellations must be made within the designated cancellation periods listed below. Prepaid gift certificates can be arranged for “last minute” emergencies.
  • To cancel confirmed reservations of up to 4 rooms, guests must notify at least 10 days in advance for a full refund.
  • To cancel confirmed reservations of more than 4 rooms, or for events filling the Inn, guests must notify at least 30 days in advance for a full refund.
  • Guests canceling “last minute” on busy weekends will receive a refund only if rooms are re-rented.
  • Guests canceling “last minute” due to emergencies are eligible for a gift certificate for a future stay, within a reasonable time period.

Miscellaneous notes:

  • Acorn Inn is licensed & permitted by Virginia Department of Health to serve guests a Continental Breakfast.
  • Continental Breakfast (home-baked breads & muffins, tea, coffee, orange juice and fresh fruit) is included in room rate. Gluten-free items provided on request. Let us know!
  • Commonwealth of Virginia requires that a Banquet License be purchased for any event where alcohol is served.
  • No Smoking inside any building on Acorn Inn premises.
  • No Pets permitted inside Inn or Farmhouse. Pets are permitted in Cottage only, for a fee.
  • Children, with responsible parents, always welcome!
